Did you change your mailing address after you submitted your I-485?
Some time they correspond to your old mailing address even though you updated the address with USCIS.
Did you check with your Attorney? Is the correspondence address given is your mailing address or Lawyers? Some times Lawyers give their address for correspondence to USCIS.
These factors count where the approved mail goes to. I am sure you might have checked these before. If you over-looked these, then these may be the areas that you have to check on.
My 2 cents.

They say you will become actual permanent resident when you get the card The card is important.
You now USCIS don�t know when they will change their minds.
To better be on safe side to get it stamped on my passport. I took info pass on 8-11-08 it will be almost 30 days,

I do not understand why people spend their energy in coming up with some lame ideas. Just because you suffer does not mean that your fellows have to suffer, what is the point of being a sane individual with that kind of thought process.
There are people who come here on all kinds of visas F1, H1, L1 and like this country and stay back and need a green card for convenience. Students who came here want priority over people who came on H1B. It makes sense from their point of view.
Similarly people on H1B who got stuck in several stages and had to change the company have their own point of view.
How bout having a lame rule saying that GC for people with I.Q of 140 and above?

How bout having a lame rule like if you have a family you will be penalized by putting you at the end of the line for GC?
The list can go endless..
Worry less about who is cutting the line and getting ahead and please concentrate and put your energy and come up with good ideas and showing what we are really capable of..

What is the "LOWER HANGING BALLS" AND "LOWER HANGING SHIT" means? Why can't these assholes approve all the old cases and then move the dates to 2003 or 2004 or even 2006.
These type of analogy is nothing but a bullshit. USCIS under pressure??? What pressure? Who do they care? Why should they worry? Whole immigration system is a circus(jumbo, gemini circus) playing with our lives and with full of jokers making fun of us.
Exactly... there is no such thing as LOW HANGING BALLS.... they shuld be fair to everyone... this is just a case of discrimination... first make all these useless categoreis... But in USCIS Retrogression calendar terms, I might be millions of miles away from your priority date...:mad::(:confused:

Here is what you do,
1. Do not talk to them on phone
2. Send them a letter stating keeping your salary is against law. If they think you owe them the money, send you a letter explaining why they think the money is owed and how much, state that filing of labor is a cost to the company and not to the employee as per DOL
3. Give them a time limit of 30 days.
4. Ask them to send all the correspondence to your home address.
5. Send them a letter with some kind signature rcpt.
Wait and see, If they have a real claim then they will respond to you otherwise they will send your money.

My H1b Extention got approved from Vermont center yesterday.
First 3 year extention filled on July 10th 2008 .
Approval notice sent Email : Aug 27th 2008.
GC Details : PD Jan 2008

I currently have a job offer from the client .
My previous company has applied in perm as Software engineer , Applications as Job Title and Job Description is PeoplesoftSoft, Peopletools ,SQR
My client would like to hire me as Peoplesoft Developer. but I am expecting a raise in salary of atleast 30%.
Would this be a problem ?
When you say Job description should be more or less same what exactly does that mean. Should it be exactly different or some minor change is ok ?
Help me out as I have to decide on the offer by weekend.

How can it be a security breach if we inform the media what we are doing? Besides... we are not the ones physically delivering those flowers! It is the florists! We are just ordering them!
